Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Technology Consulting Consultant to join a Los Angeles-based IT consulting practice. You will work on client projects that span data & analytics, cloud and platform transformation, Microsoft ecosystem work, security & privacy, technology risk & resilience, and technology strategy and architecture. This is a full-time role that combines hands-on technical work, client interaction, and professional development in a collaborative team environment.


What you’ll do

  • Support client engagements by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform recommendations.
  • Contribute to delivery across capability areas such as Business Platform Transformation, Enterprise Data & Analytics, Microsoft, Security & Privacy, Technology Risk & Resilience, and Technology Strategy & Architecture.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, business process mapping, technical design documentation, data migration, testing support, and implementation activities.
  • Perform technical and risk assessments, contribute to remediation plans, and help operationalize technology controls.
  • Build dashboards and reports using BI tools and manipulate data in SQL-based systems to support analysis.
  • Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support team deliverables.
  • Apply AI-powered productivity tools to streamline analytic workflows and improve project delivery.

Responsibilities & daily activities

  • Analyze datasets and produce insights using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Develop technical documentation and present findings in client meetings.
  • Support security, privacy, and risk-related testing or assessments under supervision.
  • Assist with cloud, ERP, or platform modernization work; support testing, cutover, and operational readiness tasks.
  • Work within project teams, take ownership of assigned tasks, and meet deadlines in a client-focused environment.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Applied Math, or a related technology discipline.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
  • Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area (examples below).

Preferred / relevant skills

  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, Cognos, QlikView, SSRS).
  • Competency with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata).
  • Programming fundamentals (Python, Java, JavaScript) preferred.
  • Introductory knowledge of network/domain management, firewalls, and middleware.
  • Foundational understanding of IT controls, internal control frameworks, and control testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern customer technology environments.
  • Knowledge of security topics: authentication, identity management, data protection, encryption, least privilege.
  • Experience preparing data for AI or automation use cases, or using AI tools to improve workflows.

Location, work model & travel

  • This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. Confidential Client practices a hybrid model: a mix of in-office and remote work aligned to client and project needs.
  • Local and occasional out-of-state travel to client sites may be required depending on engagements.

Compensation & benefits

  • Base salary range: $75,000 - $92,000 (placement within range is based on experience, skills, and geographic work location).
  • Bonus target opportunity: $2,000 (estimated total cash range: $77,000 - $94,000).
  • Benefits: medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA options, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave, short/long-term disability, 401(k) plan with employer match, Choice Time Off (up to ~20 days for new hires) and paid holidays. Benefit eligibility and specifics vary by role and location.
