Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an early-career Technology Consulting Consultant to join an IT consulting team in Atlanta, GA. This role offers structured onboarding, hands-on client projects across technology domains (data & AI, security, cloud, Microsoft ecosystem, platform modernization, and architecture), and paths for rapid professional growth.


What You’ll Do

Confidential Client hires consultants who collaborate on client engagements to solve complex technology and business problems. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Work on client teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and deliver technology-enabled recommendations
  • Compile and analyze data, document findings, and present clear insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support assessments and projects in one or more capability areas: Business Platform Transformation, Enterprise Data/Analytics & AI, Microsoft, Security & Privacy, Technology Risk & Resilience, or Technology Strategy & Architecture
  • Assist with data engineering tasks, reporting/dashboard development, proof-of-concept work for AI/automation, and technical testing as needed
  • Contribute to implementation support: testing, data migration, technical documentation, and change management
  • Use and help apply AI/productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI) to increase team efficiency and quality of deliverables
  • Participate in structured training (onboarding, Foundations programs) and seek coaching from mentors and talent managers

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Applied Math, or a related technical discipline
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and collaborate in team settings
  • Technical aptitude relevant to the assigned capability area (see preferred skills)

Preferred / Helpful Experience

  • Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, QlikView, or SSRS
  • Familiarity with relational databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata, etc.
  • Introductory programming experience (Python, Java, JavaScript)
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts: authentication, encryption, identity/access controls, data protection
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday) and implementation lifecycle concepts
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data/AI environments
  • Experience with data preparation, cleaning, and support for AI/automation use cases
  • Interest in obtaining professional technical certifications

Compensation & Benefits

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Base salary range (U.S., depending on experience & location): $70,000 — $87,000 per year
  • Bonus target: $2,000
  • Estimated total cash range: $72,000 — $89,000 per year
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off (Choice Time Off), parental leave, short/long-term disability, life insurance, and other offerings. Specific benefits and eligibility vary by role and location.

Work Model & Location

  • Primary work location: Atlanta, GA (local office & client sites)
  • Confidential Client employs a hybrid work model; time onsite will vary by project and client needs and may include local or out-of-state travel.
