What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Technology Consultant to join their Technology Consulting practice in Schiller Park, IL. In this client-facing role you will work on a variety of projects across industries to deliver high-quality, practical technology solutions. You will analyze data, document findings, and communicate insights that drive client outcomes while receiving mentorship and formal training to accelerate your career.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver client-focused technology solutions
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to inform recommendations
- Support design, testing, and implementation activities across technology projects
- Contribute to risk assessments, technical testing, and remediation planning where applicable
- Translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders and client leadership
- Participate in structured onboarding and continuing learning programs to build technical and consulting skills
Key Responsibilities & Typical Projects
Confidential Client hires consultants into capability areas such as Business Platform Transformation, Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI, Microsoft ecosystem consulting, Security & Privacy, Technology Risk & Resilience, and Technology Strategy & Architecture. Depending on assignment, you may:
- Support platform modernization, cloud migrations, or ERP implementations
- Help convert data into insight via data engineering, visualization, and analytics work
- Assist with security assessments, incident readiness, or privacy reviews
- Build or support controls, testing, and resilience programs
- Contribute to technical design documentation, data migration, and testing support
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Applied Math, or a related technical discipline
- Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements
- Technical proficiency relevant to your assigned capability area
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, SSRS)
- Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata)
- Programming or scripting experience (Python, Java, JavaScript) preferred
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (authentication, access controls, encryption)
- Knowledge of ERP concepts (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday) and system implementation support
- Experience using AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI) a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $72,000 — $87,000 per year (placement depends on experience, skills, and geographic work location)
- Bonus target: $2,000 (annual, eligible employees)
- Estimated total cash range: $74,000 — $89,000
