What You’ll Do

- Produce compliant and persuasive proposal content by analyzing solicitation requirements and contributing to storyboarding, win themes, past performance, and resumes.
- Draft, edit, format, and proofread proposal sections and related artifacts for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation: user guides, SOPs, knowledge-base articles, training content, FAQs, quick-reference guides, and online help.
- Conduct interviews and information-gathering sessions with SMEs to turn complex subject matter into audience-appropriate content.
- Build and maintain SharePoint sites and other knowledge-management assets to organize and share information.
- Develop visual aids (process flows, diagrams, charts, infographics) to clarify technical and business processes.
- Ensure consistency with templates, style guides, Section 508 and agency formatting requirements where applicable.
- Deliver high-quality work on schedule and support quality-control and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience. Degrees in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or Journalism are a plus.
- Experience responding to government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) or strong exposure to proposal development.
- Demonstrated ability to write compliant, compelling proposal sections and produce technical documentation for non-expert audiences.
- Strong interviewing, editing, and proofreading skills; attention to style, terminology, and formatting consistency.
- Comfortable working in document templates, style guides, and collaborative review processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
- Direct experience writing for government proposals and familiarity with government documentation standards (e.g., Section 508).
- Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or ServiceNow knowledge bases.
