What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level technical role supporting database/modeling teams. You will:
- Support computer-based database modeling activities as a Junior Database Modeler.
- Prepare, validate, and maintain technical data used in power-system and engineering models.
- Follow established modeling standards and procedures under the guidance of senior modelers.
- Participate in structured on-the-job and classroom training (3–4 months) to learn modeling tools, standards, and workflows.
- Assist with troubleshooting data issues, basic model runs, and documentation of modeling steps.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure model accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain attention to detail when working with technical information and datasets.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome recent engineering graduates and early-career candidates who are eager to learn practical modeling skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or another engineering discipline preferred.
- Coursework or concentration in power systems is strongly preferred (Power Systems I/II beneficial).
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn computer-based database modeling applications and procedures.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with technical information.
- Entry-level candidates with limited or no prior modeling experience are encouraged to apply.
Logistics & Compensation
- Location: Sweetwater / Miami area, Florida (on-site required).
- Duration: 12+ months (possible extension).
- Employment type: Full-time, contract.
- Pay: $20–$28 per hour.
- Training: Approximately 3–4 months of structured classroom and on-the-job training will be provided.
