Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Field Service Engineer (Technical Service Engineer) to join their field team supporting UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and HVAC systems used in data centers, telecom, energy, and industrial environments. This is a hands-on, travel-heavy field role designed for recent graduates or early-career technicians who want structured training, mentorship, and a clear career path toward senior engineering or technical leadership roles.

  • Estimated pay: $68,546 per year (estimated)
  • Locations: Multiple (Ohio, Indiana, Houston, TX — regional assignments)
  • Travel: Expect frequent regional travel; up to ~80% travel depending on assignment

What you’ll do

  • Assist senior engineers with installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repair of UPS and HVAC systems

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support under supervision
  • Support testing, inspection, and performance verification to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
  • Follow Confidential Client’s site safety and quality standards at all customer locations
  • Travel regionally (and occasionally nationwide) for field assignments

  • Strong willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required

Physical / work environment & requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds for short durations
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods; work at heights or reach overhead as required
  • Ability to travel for multiple days by car or air depending on projects
  • Coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining 100% safety awareness
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 80% of the time, depending on client needs
