Position Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a Technical Product Manager (contract) to lead product strategy, roadmaps, and delivery for enterprise-grade platforms and technical products. This is a hybrid role with a preferred location in Texas (TX). You will partner with engineering, architecture, sales, and executive leadership to deliver scalable cloud, API, and platform solutions for enterprise customers.

  • Rate: $50–$60 / hour (as provided by the client)

What You’ll Do

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and end-to-end lifecycle for assigned products and platforms.
  • Define product strategy aligned to client growth, market needs, and business priorities.
  • Discover customer pain points and market opportunities through customer engagement and research.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and translate findings into prioritized roadmap initiatives.
  • Write clear product specifications: epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead backlog prioritization, grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination in Agile environments.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations to define technical requirements and ensure alignment to platform standards.
  • Measure product performance using KPIs (adoption, utilization, retention, scalability) and iterate based on data and customer feedback.
  • Build executive-ready business cases, ROI models, and presentations to support investment decisions.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, timelines, and tradeoffs to stakeholders across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years product management experience in technology-driven organizations.
  • 3+ years managing technical products, enterprise platforms, APIs, cloud solutions, or enterprise software.
  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with the SDLC.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-functional technical initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in telecommunications, wireless, networking, IoT, cloud, or enterprise technology environments.
  • Knowledge of 5G, Edge Computing, IoT, AI/ML, SaaS, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP; experience with APIs and integrations.
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and product analytics platforms.
  • SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner certification, MBA, or advanced technical degree.
