Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead discovery and transition work for a consumer-facing product. This is a 24-month contract role based in Orlando, FL (onsite ~4 days/week). You will document current and desired future states, shape the capability roadmap, prioritize features, and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive technical alignment and delivery.


What You’ll Do

  • Execute discovery activities to document the current product state and define the desired future state.
  • Capture and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Map existing business and technical processes; identify gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Lead requirement-gathering and feasibility sessions with commercial, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Facilitate technical discussions, act as a negotiator and gatekeeper between product and business stakeholders.
  • Define and drive the capability roadmap for the squad/team.
  • Use data analysis to inform product decisions and prioritization.
  • Proactively report squad/team status, issues, and risks to leadership.
  • Document application behavior, integration patterns, and implementation details.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3–5 years as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, Engineer, or Engineering Manager working with user interfaces, web services, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading technical initiatives that span multiple teams and functional areas.
  • Strong ability to write clear business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (advanced level).
  • Experience with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to lead cross-functional meetings and workshops.
  • Comfortable working independently and partnering with commercial teams to align business needs and technical solutions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with consumer-facing web or mobile products.
  • Prior work in product discovery and transition projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and API design.
  • Background in data-informed product decision making (analytics, A/B testing, instrumentation).

Education & Employment Details

  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent.
  • Employment type: CONTRACTOR (24-month engagement).
  • Location & schedule: Orlando, FL — onsite approximately 4 days per week.
  • Compensation: USD $70.00/hr - $77.50/hr (hourly rate). Exact pay depends on experience and qualifications.
  • Contract length: 24 months.
