Role overview

We’re working with a fast-growing, well-funded AI company (Series B) building internal AI agents and automation that drive end-to-end work without human handoffs. The Confidential Client is hiring a Technical Product Manager to join a small, high-ownership internal team that embeds with business functions to design, build, and operate AI agents that push code to production, manage knowledge, and automate whole jobs.

This is an on-site, full-time role based in Flatiron, New York City.

What you’ll do

  • Build and ship internal AI agents that push code to production, keep company knowledge current, and execute entire jobs end-to-end.
  • Own context architecture: define sources of truth, ensure documentation and knowledge remain synchronized with reality.
  • Design integrations and APIs/MCPs to make internal tooling accessible to agents.
  • Create evaluation suites, monitor agent trajectories, and iterate to improve performance and reliability.
  • Invent new infrastructure, interfaces, and operating models for seamless human–agent collaboration.
  • Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that maximize long-term company-wide impact.

What you must have

  • 5+ years (typically 5–15 years) experience as a technical product manager, engineer-turned-PM, or founder building B2B software products.
  • High-growth startup experience (Series B–E) in a B2B SaaS or AI environment.
  • Ability to build: you either code proficiently or are a power user of AI-assisted coding tools — you must be able to prototype or implement with AI yourself.
  • A clear vision for how AI will drive efficiency across a business and the judgment to prioritize long-term value initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; can represent product strategy in conversations with leaders and engineers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (from a leading university in the US, Canada, or Europe) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of staying and delivering in roles (ownership and follow-through).

Preferred / bonus experience

  • Former founder or very early PM hire at a startup.
  • Experience working on highly technical products: AI agents, data platforms, or developer tooling.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC automation and continuous delivery.
  • Prior experience building internal tooling or platform products used by engineers.

Details & compensation

  • Base salary: $175,000–$275,000 per year, plus highly competitive equity.
  • Employment type: Full-time, on-site (5 days/week) — Flatiron, New York City.
  • Open to visa transfers (e.g., OPT, H‑1B).
  • Unlimited token budget and engineering resources for building agents.
  • You will be employed directly by the Confidential Client.

Why this role matters

You’ll join a small team of builders moving beyond incremental productivity gains to create autonomous, reliable agent systems that replace manual work. If you want to spend the next several years shaping the future of knowledge work and internal AI infrastructure, this role offers a unique opportunity to ship high-impact systems at scale.
