What You’ll Do
- Provide production support for incident resolution and change requests tied to service-recharge projects and investigator-initiated work.
- Coordinate day-to-day application operations and serve as first-line service desk support following standard operating procedures.
- Gather, clarify, and document business and technical requirements for small-to-midsize projects.
- Configure, test, debug, and deploy informatics and data-management solutions for research teams.
- Create and maintain user-facing documentation, internal SOPs, and user manuals.
- Implement and maintain change-control and quality-assurance processes.
- Support research workflows and tools commonly used in research informatics (examples where applicable: REDCap, OpenSpecimen).
- Promote best practices in data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) plus 2 years of directly related work experience, or a master’s (or equivalency) degree. (Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of work experience.)
- Demonstrated experience with application support, debugging, testing, and deployment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for user documentation and cross-team collaboration.
- Ability to follow established SOPs and participate in process improvement and quality assurance activities.
Preferred skills & experience
- Experience supporting research informatics or biomedical projects.
- Familiarity with REDCap, OpenSpecimen, or similar research workflow tools.
- Experience with change-control processes, QA/testing frameworks, and incident management.
- Basic scripting, SQL, or troubleshooting skills to assist with configuration and debugging.
- Customer-service mindset and experience supporting investigators or non-technical end users.
