Role Overview
This Tech Support Analyst role supports a Confidential Client in Birmingham, AL. This is an onsite, full-time position providing frontline IT support to employees — troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and account access to keep teams productive.
- Estimated pay: $63,561 per year (estimated)
- Location: Birmingham, AL — onsite

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, applications, and network connectivity.
- Monitor and respond to help desk requests through phone, ticketing systems, and other support channels.
- Assist with new-employee technology setup, account provisioning, equipment deployment, and onboarding tasks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues; identify and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Investigate recurring or more complex technical issues and research solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, inventory, and user requests.
- Escalate issues that require additional technical expertise while maintaining ownership through resolution.
- Support IT projects, system implementations, equipment management, and other departmental initiatives.
- Perform additional IT support duties as needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply — equivalent education, training, certifications, or hands-on technical experience will be considered.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable supporting users with varying technical skill levels.
- Quickly learn new technologies, applications, and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
- Customer-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments, networking fundamentals, hardware, software, and common productivity applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, VoIP, ServiceNow, Cisco, or network monitoring tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and to escalate issues appropriately.
