Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a full-time, bilingual Kindergarten Teacher in Katy, TX. This role requires a valid Texas teaching certificate, ESL certification (required for K–5 RLA / self-contained special education or general education classroom assignments), and a commitment to student-centered instruction and classroom management. The position reports to the campus principal and follows a 187-duty-day schedule.
What You’ll Do
Provide high-quality instruction and a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth for kindergarten students.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and TEA guidelines
- Differentiate instruction and use accommodations to meet diverse learner needs
- Incorporate digital tools to enhance learning and creativity
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction
- Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs
- Maintain clear, professional communication with parents, students, and staff
- Manage classroom behavior consistent with district policies and the Student Code of Conduct
- Supervise paraprofessionals, student teachers, and volunteers as assigned
- Sponsor or support extracurricular and campus activities as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for assigned subject/level
- ESL certification required for K–5 RLA or self-contained special education or general education classroom assignments
- Student teaching or approved internship experience
- Ability to instruct students, manage behavior, and maintain classroom organization
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physically able to move about the classroom and supervise students
Preferred:
- ESL certification for Math, Science, Social Studies teaching assignments
- Experience with bilingual instruction or early childhood education
