Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a dedicated Elementary Bilingual (5th grade) Teacher to deliver high-quality ELAR (English Language Arts & Reading) and Social Studies instruction in Katy, TX. This full-time, contract teaching position follows the district teacher hiring schedule with 187 duty days and requires ESL certification for the assigned K–5 RLA or general/self-contained special education classroom assignments.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans for 5th grade ELAR and Social Studies that reflect district curriculum requirements.
• Differentiate instruction and provide accommodations to meet diverse learner needs, including students with IEPs.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Incorporate digital tools and classroom technology to enhance learning and creativity.
• Collaborate with colleagues, special education staff, and campus leaders to plan instruction and support student growth.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with parents, students, and school staff.
• Supervise and mentor paraprofessionals, student teachers, or volunteers as assigned.

Qualifications (Required / Preferred)

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned.
  • ESL certification required for K–5 RLA or self-contained special education or general education classroom assignments.
  • Student teaching or approved internship experience.
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to move about the classroom and meet the demands of supervising and instructing students.
• Preferred:
  • ESL certification for Math, Science, or Social Studies assignments.
  • Experience designing lessons that integrate digital tools and differentiated strategies.

• Pay Grade: I00 — Teacher Hiring Schedule (pay based on years of experience).
• Wage/Hour Status: Exempt.
• Duty Days: 187.
