Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a full-time Career & Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for success in career pathways. This position follows the district schedule of 197 duty days and reports to the CTE Director. The role includes in-person and virtual instruction, supervision of student field experiences, and support for students with diverse learning needs.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee and deliver CTE curriculum and training in assigned subject area.
• Develop and implement lesson plans for in-person, distance, and virtual learning that meet district and state standards.
• Assess student learning styles and achievement; use results to adjust instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with special education staff to adapt curriculum per Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Supervise instructional aides, volunteers, and student field experiences.
• Sponsor and support extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
• Follow district safety protocols and take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned CTE subject or eligibility for certification relevant to CTE clusters/courses.
• Student teaching, approved internship, or at least 3 years of related wage-earning experience in the area of certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the CTE subject area and curriculum.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.

Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of career and technical education subject area and instructional best practices.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and adapt lessons for different learning environments and student needs.
• Experience supervising student experiences and coordinating with community or industry partners is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending, stooping, pushing/pulling.
• Repetitive hand motions and frequent use of a computer.
• Occasional light lifting (less than 15 pounds); possible physical intervention to manage student behavior when necessary.
• May work irregular hours and travel occasionally for district- or state-level events.
• Reasonable accommodations available to qualified individuals with disabilities.

• Estimated annual pay (as published): $77,532 per year (estimated).
