What You’ll Do
Our client is seeking a Tax Staff professional to prepare tax returns, support tax research, and assist clients with tax compliance matters. This role is well suited for early-career accountants who want mentoring and exposure to a variety of industries.
- Effectively prepare and apply tax knowledge to individual returns (e.g., Form 1040) and less complex business returns (e.g., Form 1120)
- Prepare complete, organized tax files with appropriate supporting documentation
- Research tax issues and apply relevant authorities, precedents, rulings, and regulations
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal team members; ask thoughtful questions to resolve issues
- Follow firm practice management procedures and use tax preparation systems competently
- Provide research support for transaction reviews and client engagements
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field
- Foundational knowledge of GAAP and basic tax principles
- Comfortable working extended hours during busy season
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency or willingness to learn common tax preparation and practice management software

Location & Work Arrangement
- Location: Greenland, AR (work will require in-office presence initially)
