Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level member for their Tax Operations and Innovation team. This role supports the tax department by developing and implementing tax technology solutions, process improvements, and tools that increase efficiency for engagement teams across industries such as manufacturing & distribution, real estate & construction, business & industrial services, private equity, and wealth management.


What You’ll Do

You will be part of a team focused on automating, standardizing, and modernizing tax workflows. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Participate in development and implementation of a tax technology strategy/roadmap.
  • Help develop low-code/no-code solutions and automate routine tax processes.
  • Collaborate with Tax Subject Matter Experts to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain tools and templates for engagement teams.
  • Support adoption of internal and 3rd-party tax software and integrations (APIs).
  • Assist with vendor evaluations and strategic research on advanced technology.
  • Contribute to change management, training, and deployment efforts.
  • Use basic project and process management skills to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Identify product development opportunities aligned with the practice’s growth initiatives.
  • Network across teams and contribute to internal standards and processes.
  • Bring an innovative, problem-solving mindset to team projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, accounting information systems, data analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, APIs, and SQL preferred.
  • Pursuing a CPA license is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a predominantly in-person model while leveraging flexibility with your supervisor and team.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (exception may apply for qualified bilingual candidates in Japanese/English or Chinese/English).

Compensation & Benefits

  • The posted compensation range for this role (applicable in CO, IL, OH, and MA) is: $77,000.00 - $83,000.00 (base salary).
  • Eligible staff may receive a benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, Flexible Time Off, 401(k), and potential discretionary bonus programs. Some contingent staff may be eligible for limited paid sick time and health insurance options.
  • Additional details (eligibility and contribution requirements) vary by employment status and hours worked.
