What You’ll Do
Managing taxes is a critical part of an effective business strategy. As a Tax Consultant you will support client engagements by researching, analyzing, and preparing tax-related recommendations. Typical responsibilities include:
- Research tax laws, regulations, and guidance to support client work
- Assist with the analysis of tax issues, transactions, and reporting requirements
- Prepare work products and client-ready recommendations
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical tax matters
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
- Communicate findings clearly to team members and clients
Qualifications (Required)
This entry-level opportunity is intended for candidates beginning or building a career in tax.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2027, OR have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related program
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must meet the minimum educational requirements to sit for or pursue CPA licensure in the state of the assigned office prior to beginning full-time employment
- Reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office and be able to commute daily when required (co-location average 2–3 times per week)
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, depending on client and project needs
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology
- Prior internship, summer position, or school job in accounting, tax, or finance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and ability to build sustaining professional relationships
Compensation & Location
- Location: SoMa (San Francisco), CA — you will be expected to be within a commutable distance of the assigned office and co-locate on average 2–3 times per week
- Travel: Up to 50% on average
- Salary range (disclosed): $54,160 to $99,600 per year. This range accounts for factors such as experience, skills, and certifications and complies with applicable pay transparency requirements for the job location.

Teams combine technical tax knowledge, data and technology capabilities, and client service to deliver practical insights and tailored solutions. This role provides exposure to diverse clients, industries, and offerings while building technical knowledge and client-facing skills.
