What You’ll Do

Managing taxes is a critical part of an effective business strategy. As a Tax Consultant with our client’s Tax practice in Los Angeles, you will support engagements that analyze tax implications of business decisions, identify opportunities to manage tax obligations, and address complex tax issues. This entry-level role gives exposure to a variety of clients, industries, and tax service offerings while building technical knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, and client-service experience.

  • Research tax laws, rules, and guidance to support client work
  • Assist with analysis of tax issues, transactions, and reporting requirements
  • Prepare work products and recommendations for client engagements
  • Collaborate with team members to address technical tax matters
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality expectations

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2027, OR a completed bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or related)
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (verbal and written)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must meet the minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state of the assigned office prior to beginning full-time employment
  • Reside within a commutable distance of the assigned Los Angeles office and be able to commute daily as required (typical co-location average: 2–3 days/week, depending on project/client needs)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on client and engagement requirements
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
  • Expected start: Summer 2027 or Winter 2028

Preferred

  • Coursework in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology
  • Internship/summer position or work experience in accounting, tax, or finance

Compensation & Logistics

  • Employment type: Full time, Permanent

  • Salary range (estimate): $54,160 to $99,600 per year (range reflects factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and geographic differential)
  • Start windows: Summer 2027 or Winter 2028
  • Travel: Up to 50% on average
  • Immigration: Limited sponsorship may be available
