What You’ll Do

Managing taxes is a critical part of business strategy. As a Tax Consultant with our confidential client, you will support client engagements by researching tax law, analyzing tax implications of business decisions, preparing client deliverables, and collaborating with team members to resolve technical tax issues.

  • Research federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and guidance to support client work.
  • Assist with analysis of tax issues, transactions, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare clear, well-documented work products and recommendations for clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to address technical tax matters and deliver client solutions.
  • Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines while ensuring high quality of work.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to peers and client stakeholders.

Qualifications (Required)

This is an entry-level role geared toward early-career candidates or students completing degree requirements.

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2027, or already hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
  • Meet the minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state of the assigned office prior to beginning full-time employment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams; strong interpersonal and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must reside within commuting distance of the assigned office and be able to colocate (on average 2–3 days per week) as required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% depending on client and project needs.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Recruiting for this role ends on 7/31/2026. The anticipated start date is Summer 2027 or Winter 2028.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or experience in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology.
  • Previous internship, summer position, or school job in accounting, tax, or finance.
  • Interest in pursuing CPA licensure.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Salary range (estimated): $54,160 to $99,600 per year. This range reflects typical compensation factors including experience, skills, certifications, and geographic adjustments. (California pay transparency laws apply for roles filled in CA.)
  • Location: Costa Mesa, CA — you must live within a commutable distance of the assigned office.
  • Travel: Up to 50% on average, depending on client needs.
  • Start: Summer 2027 or Winter 2028.
  • Recruiting close date: 7/31/2026.
