What You’ll Do

Managing taxes is a critical part of an effective business strategy. As a Tax Consultant you will support client engagements across industries by performing technical tax work and helping teams deliver high-quality client recommendations.

  • Research tax laws, rules, regulations, and guidance to support client work
  • Assist with analysis of tax issues, transactions, and reporting requirements
  • Prepare work products, client-ready deliverables, and technical recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical tax matters
  • Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines and quality expectations
  • Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats for both internal teams and clients

Who You Are (Required Qualifications)

This is an entry-level Consultant role intended for candidates preparing to begin or build a career in tax. Candidates must meet the requirements below:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with expected graduation by Summer or Fall 2028, or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related program
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Meet the minimum educational requirements to pursue CPA licensure in the state of the assigned office prior to beginning full-time employment (requirements vary by state)
  • Reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office with the ability to commute daily if required; expect to co-locate on average 2–3 times per week (may vary by project)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average for client work and engagements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Able to begin in Summer 2028 or Winter 2029

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology
  • Internship, summer position, or school work experience in accounting, tax, or finance
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

About the Team

The Tax team helps clients address business challenges across a broad range of tax services. Teams combine technical tax knowledge, technology, data, and process capabilities to deliver practical insights and tailored solutions that help clients evaluate complex tax issues and improve how work gets done. You will gain exposure to varied clients, industries, and offerings while developing technical expertise and client service skills.


Compensation & Location

  • Location: Campbell / San Jose, CA area (commutable to the assigned office)
  • Employment type: Full‑time (entry-level)
  • Start: Summer 2028 or Winter 2029
  • Travel: Up to 50% (average, depending on client/project)
  • Salary range (estimate): $54,160 to $99,600 per year. This range reflects a reasonable estimate for this role and may be adjusted for geographic differentials and candidate experience.
