What You’ll Do

Managing taxes is a critical part of an effective business strategy. As a Tax Consultant on the Tax team, you will support clients in analyzing tax implications of business decisions, identifying opportunities to manage tax obligations, and addressing complex tax issues. This entry-level role offers exposure across a variety of clients, industries, and service offerings while building technical knowledge, problem-solving capability, and client-service experience.

  • Research tax laws, rules, and guidance to support client engagements
  • Assist with analysis of tax issues, transactions, and reporting requirements
  • Prepare work products and recommendations for client engagements
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical tax matters
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality expectations

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university (expected to graduate Summer or Fall 2027) OR have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related/equivalent program
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (verbal and written)
  • Strong academic record (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)
  • Must meet minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure in the state of your assigned office prior to beginning full-time employment (requirements may differ by state)
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office and be able to commute daily if required; co-location on average 2–3 times/week is expected depending on project/client needs
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on client and project requirements
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
  • Anticipated start date: Winter 2027

Preferred

  • Coursework in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology
  • Internship, summer position, or relevant school job experience in accounting, tax, or finance

The tax team at our confidential client helps clients address business challenges through a broad range of tax services. Teams combine technical tax knowledge, technology, data, and process capabilities to deliver practical insights and tailored solutions across offerings to help clients evaluate complex issues and improve workflows.


Compensation & Location

Location: Campbell, CA (this listing is for the Campbell office)

Pay range (annual): $54,160 to $99,600 (reported range — not adjusted for potential geographic differentials). Compensation decisions are based on multiple factors including skill set, experience, education, licensure/certifications, and business needs.
