What You’ll Do

This entry-level Tax Associate role (based in Southfield, MI) will be part of the tax team supporting client-focused tax planning, projections, and return preparation. You will work alongside CPAs, accountants, and financial advisors inside the family-office environment of our confidential client.

• Analyze client tax liability and identify planning opportunities
• Prepare tax projections and support year-round tax planning activities
• Assist with preparation and review of tax returns and related schedules
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (financial advisors, accounting) to coordinate client outcomes
• Attend meetings, client calls, and training to maintain technical knowledge
• Meet assigned productivity and quality goals
• Comply with industry rules, regulations, and internal policies
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support the tax team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Able and willing to obtain an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Ability to obtain Enrolled Agent designation is a plus (support provided)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills; comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and professional accountability
• Leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial mindset are valued

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated pay: $56,946 per year (estimated). This is an approximation provided by the job source.
• Benefits include: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance; paid time off; 401(k); voluntary LTD and Life options; flexible spending — eligibility and plan details vary by position.

• Location: Southfield, MI (onsite or hybrid as defined by the confidential client)
