Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Tax Associate to join their Tax practice in Seattle, WA. This role focuses on tax compliance, research, and support for domestic and international tax engagements. You will work with teams to prepare tax filings, analyze tax positions, and help deliver client service while developing technical tax skills and professional judgment.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with preparation and filing of corporate and partnership tax returns to meet compliance deadlines
  • Support development of tax strategies to optimize client tax positions and reduce risk
  • Conduct tax research and analysis on federal, state, and international tax issues
  • Participate in multistate tax compliance and reporting activities
  • Prepare tax provisions, modeling, and documentation for financial reporting
  • Help implement tax structures and international tax planning initiatives
  • Use data analytics and technology to improve tax compliance and reporting processes
  • Support regulatory compliance and consulting engagements
  • Communicate with engagement teams and clients; escalate issues and ask questions to drive high-quality deliverables

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (completed or in final academic year)
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
  • Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment prior to starting full-time
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (applicants must meet any state-specific licensure or exam eligibility requirements)

Preferred / Differentiators

  • 3.5+ overall GPA preferred
  • Experience or interest in using AI and data analytics to drive efficiencies
  • Intellectual curiosity about tax consulting, planning, and regulations
  • Exposure to international tax planning or multistate tax issues
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and client service orientation

Role Details

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: Seattle, WA (on-site or as required by the engagement)
  • Travel: Up to 20%
  • Salary range: $53,500 — $142,000 per year (actual pay dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws)
