What You’ll Do
As a Tax Associate (entry-level), you will join Confidential Client’s tax practice and support client engagements across compliance, tax research, and planning. You’ll work with teams to prepare returns, analyze tax positions, and use data tools to improve processes. Expect a learning-focused role with client exposure and professional development toward CPA eligibility.
- Assist in preparation and filing of corporate and partnership tax returns to meet compliance deadlines
- Support development of tax strategies to optimize positions and mitigate risk
- Conduct tax research and analysis on domestic and international tax matters
- Participate in multistate tax compliance and reporting activities
- Contribute to tax provisions, modeling and financial reporting support
- Assist with international tax planning and tax-structure documentation
- Use data analytics to streamline compliance, reporting, and tax workflows
- Collaborate across teams to deliver tailored tax consulting for diverse industries
- Support regulatory compliance consulting against evolving tax rules
What You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting completed or in progress
- Minimum overall GPA: 3.0
- Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state where you intend to work before beginning full-time employment
- Entry-level candidates: final academic year completed or in process
What Sets You Apart
- Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher (preferred)
- Familiarity or interest in using AI and data analytics to increase efficiency in tax tasks
- Intellectual curiosity in tax consulting and international tax
- Strong teamwork, client service, and written/verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and ability to work through ambiguity
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $53,500 — $142,000 per year (actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws)
