Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Tax Associate to support wealth management and financial planning activities in Iselin, NJ. This role works closely with a Financial Advisor to translate tax rules into client-focused recommendations, prepare analyses and projections, and help integrate tax strategies into comprehensive financial plans.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Financial Advisor with tax-related research and planning strategies
- Review client financial information to identify tax considerations and opportunities
- Prepare tax projections, analyses, and client-ready presentations
- Research federal and state tax regulations and summarize implications for clients
- Help incorporate tax strategies into broader financial and wealth plans
- Produce reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for client meetings
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential client records
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams
- Stay current on tax law changes and industry developments
- Support other financial planning and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field preferred
- 0–2 years of professional experience (entry-level candidates encouraged)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in tax, financial planning, or wealth management
Nice to Have / Professional Development
- Coursework or internship experience in tax preparation, accounting, or financial planning
- Interest in pursuing tax- or finance-related credentials or licenses (e.g., CPA, Enrolled Agent, CFP)
- Familiarity with tax research tools and financial planning software
