Role Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Tax Associate in Greensboro, NC (full-time). This role sits in the Accounting & Finance / Industry Tax Practice and focuses on tax compliance, tax research, multistate and international tax matters, tax provisions, and using data analytics to improve tax processes. Travel may be required up to 20%.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in preparation and filing of corporate and partnership tax returns to meet compliance requirements
• Support development and execution of tax strategies that minimize risk and optimize positions
• Conduct tax research and analysis on domestic and international tax issues
• Participate in multistate tax compliance, reporting, and nexus research
• Contribute to tax provisions, tax modeling, and financial reporting support
• Assist with international tax planning initiatives and tax structure development
• Use data analytics and technology to enhance tax compliance, reporting, and insight generation
• Collaborate with teams across engagements to deliver tailored tax consulting services to diverse industries

Who You Are / Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or closely related field)
• Minimum overall GPA: 3.0 (preference for 3.5)
• Before starting full-time, must meet educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment
• Entry-level / recent graduates are encouraged to apply (candidates may be finishing their final academic year)
• Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity about tax consulting and planning
• Comfortable working with data analytics tools and learning new tax technologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams

• 3.5+ GPA
• Experience or interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve tax workflows
• Hands-on experience with data analytics applied to tax or accounting problems
• Familiarity with multistate and international tax concepts
• Demonstrated client service orientation and teamwork in prior roles or internships

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $53,500 - $142,000 per year (actual pay dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and location)
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
• Benefits typically include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave (details provided by the hiring organization)
