Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Tax Associate to join their Tax practice in Blue Hills, CT. This position is an opportunity to build technical tax skills, support client engagements across industries, and gain experience in tax compliance, research, multistate and international tax matters, and tax-related financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
As a Tax Associate you will contribute to client engagements and the delivery of tax services, with responsibilities including:
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of corporate and partnership tax returns to meet compliance requirements
- Supporting development of tax positions and strategies to minimize risk and optimize taxes
- Conducting tax research and analysis on domestic and international tax matters
- Participating in multistate tax compliance and reporting activities
- Preparing tax provisions and modeling to support financial reporting
- Assisting with international tax planning initiatives and tax structure development
- Using data analytics to improve tax compliance, reporting and efficiency
- Supporting regulatory compliance consulting and related documentation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored tax consulting services
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full time
- Entry-level candidates who have completed or are completing their final academic year are encouraged to apply

- Familiarity with data analytics applied to tax processes

- Experience or interest in leveraging AI to create efficiencies and new ways of working

Location & Travel
- Location: Blue Hills, CT (on-site or as required by the engagement)
- Travel: Up to 20%
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $53,500 - $142,000 (actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location; all hired individuals are eligible for discretionary annual bonus where applicable)
