Overview

Confidential Client (Accounting & Finance) is seeking an entry-level Tax Accountant to join their team in Wyomissing Hills, PA. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate interested in building a long-term career in tax and public accounting. No prior public accounting experience is required — the Confidential Client will provide training, mentorship from experienced CPAs, and hands-on exposure to individual and business tax engagements.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Support tax research and analysis under the guidance of senior CPAs
• Prepare workpapers, schedules, and supporting documentation for tax engagements
• Assist with tax planning and compliance projects
• Review financial statements and accounting records to identify tax-related items
• Communicate with clients to collect information and resolve basic questions
• Support senior accountants and CPAs during tax season and year-round engagements
• Learn and apply current tax laws, regulations, and accounting practices
• Take on increasing responsibility as technical knowledge and experience grow

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply
• Internship or coursework in tax or public accounting is a plus but not required
• Strong interest in a career in tax and public accounting
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional communication skills and client service orientation

Employment Type & Compensation

• Employment type: FULL_TIME or CONTRACTOR
• Salary range: $70,000 – $75,000 per year (as stated by the client)
• Training, mentorship, and a clear path for professional growth and advancement

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
