Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Talent Acquisition Associate to support recruiting and onboarding efforts in Schenectady, NY. This entry-level role is ideal for new graduates or candidates starting a career in HR, talent acquisition, or healthcare recruitment. You will be a primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers and will help deliver a positive candidate experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with posting job openings to internal and external career sites and review incoming applications.
  • Screen and route qualified candidates to recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications.
  • Maintain applicant records and data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Support pre-employment processes: background checks, reference checks, and required onboarding paperwork.
  • Prepare offer letters and recruitment-related correspondence.
  • Generate basic recruiting reports and track recruitment metrics.
  • Monitor recruitment inboxes and respond to candidate inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Support job fairs, open houses, college recruiting initiatives, and other recruitment events.
  • Represent Confidential Client professionally at community and campus events.
  • Promote an inclusive, welcoming candidate experience and support compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfort using and learning ATS, HRIS, and onboarding software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive candidate and employee information.
  • No prior recruiting or HR experience required — new graduates encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

  • Internship, volunteer, or work experience in HR, recruiting, customer service, healthcare, or administrative support.
  • Any experience supporting recruitment events or campus outreach.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with regular interaction with employees, candidates, and leadership.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office and healthcare environments.
  • Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • May attend recruitment events outside normal business hours and travel between organizational locations as needed.

Compensation

  • Pay range: $23.40–$33.93 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. The posted range may vary by location.
