Position Type & Clearance
This is an onsite, entry-level Systems Security Engineering role supporting embedded systems and program protection. U.S. citizenship is required. An active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date.
What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation of Systems Security Engineering (SSE) solutions to define requirements, tradeoffs, costs, and implementation strategies for protected systems.
- Contribute to Anti‑Tamper (AT), software assurance, supply chain risk management, and overall program protection activities.
- Conduct attack threat modeling and Critical Program Information (CPI) assessments.
- Ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (hardware, firmware, software, systems integration and test) to integrate security controls into embedded systems.
Qualifications — Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM field completed by the start date.
- Experience or coursework in one or more of the following: Systems Security Engineering, Anti‑Tamper, Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems Security, Embedded Hardware, Embedded Software, or real‑time embedded systems.
- Experience may be gained through work, research, coursework, or projects.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to hold/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Qualifications — Preferred
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline.
- Applied engineering experience or coursework in systems engineering, software/firmware development, systems integration/test, ASIC development, digital electronics design, or model‑based systems engineering.
- Experience supporting DoD programs or familiarity with DoD directives (e.g., DODI‑S‑5230.28).
- Demonstrated expertise in attack threat modeling and CPI assessments.
- Active/current DoD security clearance on day one.
- Strong creativity, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Prior internship, co‑op, or relevant work experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year (good‑faith estimate covering entry through experienced levels).

Additional Information
- Onsite definition: employees work primarily on site to support development and production activities.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The DCSA (Consolidated Adjudication Services) handles adjudication of security clearances.
