What You’ll Do
This confidential client is seeking a Systems Engineer II (Onsite) to support systems integration, verification, and test activities for advanced defense systems. You will work on integration events, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, use modeling and simulation tools, and help verify requirements and system performance.
- Develop and execute integration & verification test plans and procedures in simulated and real-world environments
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, including hardware-in-the-loop and field-test setups
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and debug hardware, firmware, and software issues to meet system requirements
- Use modeling & simulation (MATLAB, Python, or similar) to predict performance and support validation
- Collect, instrument, and analyze data from test events to drive performance improvements
- Prepare integration documentation, test reports, and present findings to leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, test, and operations
- Travel as needed (up to 15%) to support field tests, customer sites, or other facilities
Qualifications — You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline by the start date
- Hands-on or coursework experience with systems requirements, systems integration, systems test, systems software, or systems hardware (experience may come from projects, coursework, internships, or on-the-job work)
- U.S. citizenship is required (eligibility for DoD security clearance). Active & transferable U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start; ability to obtain an interim clearance may be required.
Qualifications — We Prefer
- Solid undergraduate understanding of electrical, mechanical, and/or software system integration
- Familiarity with C, C++, or C#
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or scripting for instrumentation, data collection, analysis, and automation
- Experience reading electrical schematics, interface control documentation, or communications protocols
- Exposure to military platforms (ships, ground combat systems, fixed/rotary-wing aircraft) or defense systems
- Experience in integration labs, test facilities, or field support for verification
- Experience developing and managing system requirements and understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
Location & Travel
- Onsite role based at the confidential client facility in Tewksbury, MA. Local travel between nearby client sites (MA/Southern NH) may be required.
- Travel to test sites, vendor facilities, or customer locations up to ~15%.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary range (good-faith estimate): $68,900 - $131,100 USD per year.

Security & Eligibility
- U.S. citizenship is required; successful candidates must hold or be able to obtain the required U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret or ability to obtain interim clearance prior to start).
