Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer I to support systems integration and verification test events. This is an onsite, entry-level engineering role based in Tewksbury, MA. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret security clearance (or the ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to start).


What You’ll Do

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute system integration and verification test events.
  • Support test setup, instrumentation, and data collection during integration activities.
  • Assist with test procedure development, test execution, and result documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Help generate and interpret Technical Data Package materials (drawings, parts lists, electrical schematics) as required for test and integration tasks.
  • Present findings and test results to engineering leads and stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline completed by the start date.
  • Experience may be demonstrated via coursework, projects, internships, co-ops, or on-the-job experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required (role requires eligibility for U.S. government security clearance).
  • Ability to obtain an interim DoD Secret clearance prior to the start date, and maintain required clearance status.

Preferred qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or project-team experience in a professional engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with system integration and verification testing.
  • Experience with aspects of Technical Data Packages (drawings, parts lists, electrical schematics) and generating/interpreting parts lists.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; able to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Location & clearance requirements

  • This is an onsite role based in Tewksbury, MA.
  • U.S. citizenship is required. Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret) or ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to start is required.

Compensation & benefits

  • Salary range: $57,200 - $108,800 USD (good-faith estimate across experience levels).
  • Eligible employees may receive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, employee development programs, and potential incentive compensation depending on role and business unit.
