What You Will Do
The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer I to plan and execute complex integration and verification test events. This entry-level, onsite role in Tewksbury, MA will support system integration and testing activities for mission-critical aerospace systems.
- Assist with planning, building, and executing integration and verification test events.
- Develop and follow test plans, procedures, and scripts.
- Set up and operate lab/test equipment, instrumentation, and data-acquisition systems.
- Collect, analyze, and present test data; produce clear test reports and defect logs.
- Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software issues during integration and test.
- Support generation and interpretation of portions of the Technical Data Package (drawings, parts lists, electrical schematics).
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Adhere to all security, safety, and configuration-control processes.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM major obtained by the start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government DoD Secret security clearance (ability to obtain interim clearance prior to start is required).
- Demonstrated analytical ability and attention to detail through coursework, projects, internships, or work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications We Prefer
- Internship, co-op, or project-team experience in a professional engineering environment.
- Familiarity with Technical Data Package elements (parts lists, schematics, drawings).
- Hands-on experience with lab/test equipment, instrumentation, or data-acquisition tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present test results to technical audiences.
- Prior experience working on defense/aerospace programs or with cleared work is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $57,200 — $108,800 USD (good-faith estimate covering entry to higher experience levels for this role in Tewksbury, MA).
- Relocation eligibility may apply.
