What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer I to support electro‑optical (EO) system integration, test, and troubleshooting at an onsite facility in Fairview, TX. This hands-on role partners with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to validate performance, diagnose issues, and document results.

• Work in a team environment and interface across multiple engineering disciplines
• Support system performance analysis, integration, verification and validation testing
• Conduct tests on optical and electrical components and integrated systems; collect and analyze test data to optimize performance
• Troubleshoot hardware and subsystem issues, support design enhancements, and perform calibration activities
• Create and present comprehensive test reports to stakeholders
• Decompose requirements and help define system interfaces and verification/validation approaches
• Contribute to test architecture, test flow development, and test capacity analysis
• Participate in root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings
• Be available to cover additional shifts, including occasional weekends

Qualifications — Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) by start date
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is mandatory
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required on day 1
• Knowledge of advanced electronics/electrical engineering, or basic mechanical engineering, or basic computer programming
• Hands-on experience (or coursework/projects) with hardware integration and troubleshooting
• Experience using data analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally and to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree programs: Software Engineering, Optics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics
• Experience with system software, system hardware, system requirements, and system-level testing
• Technical writing and interpreting technical documents
• Prior internship, co‑op, or related hands-on engineering experience
• Experience with project execution in lab or production environments

Compensation & Benefits

• Employment type: Full‑time (Contractor / Full‑time as posted)
• Work location: Onsite — Fairview, TX
• Salary range (good‑faith estimate): $57,200 — $108,800 USD per year
• Relocation may be eligible
