What You’ll Do

This entry-level Systems Engineer role supports Advanced Airborne RF Sensors integration, verification, and test activities. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Support planning and execution of integration, verification, and troubleshooting test activities in labs, field sites, or depot facilities
  • Support qualification and performance verification of RF and airborne sensor products
  • Troubleshoot hardware/electronics problems and perform failure data analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action activities
  • Use analysis tools (MATLAB, Python) to compile and analyze test data and prepare technical reports and briefings
  • Operate common test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, telemetry capture gear) and maintain engineering databases
  • Implement minor hardware or software changes and maintain engineering specifications and drawings
  • Coordinate technical solutions across engineering teams and participate in team and working-group meetings
  • Support process implementation and documentation for engineering and test activities
  • Occasional travel to test events (not expected to exceed ~20%)

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronics (academic projects, labs, or internships) and using commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required
  • Note: This posting indicates a DoD Secret clearance requirement; candidates may be required to have or obtain an active clearance per role needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework, internship, or work experience in Radar or RF engineering
  • Experience with telemetry data collection and real-time monitoring systems
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, interface control documents, and communications protocols
  • Experience integrating software routines with hardware (C/C++/C# preferred)
  • Experience with instrumentation and large data-set collection, including scripting/automation for data capture and analysis
  • Prior internship, co-op, or related engineering work experience

  • Location: Onsite in North Texas (Fairview / McKinney / Plano area)
  • Role type: Onsite; this requisition is for an intern role with potential conversion to full-time upon graduation
  • Travel: Test support travel typically limited and not expected to exceed 20%

  • Salary range (good-faith estimate): $57,200 – $108,800 USD per year (reflective of all experience levels; final offer considers role, experience, location, and skills)
