What You’ll Do

This entry-level Systems Engineer will join a cross-functional team supporting Fleet Ballistic Missile simulation and training systems. You will help develop, maintain, and enhance lab-based simulation and training capabilities that support Fire Control testing and fleet training used on current and future submarine programs. Day-to-day work includes requirements analysis, system design support, integration and verification, hands-on lab troubleshooting, test execution, and technical documentation.

• Support systems engineering across the development life cycle: requirements, design, integration, verification, and test execution
• Operate and troubleshoot lab systems, virtual machines, and networked test environments
• Execute test plans, collect results, and produce clear test reports
• Assist with requirements management and configuration control activities
• Collaborate with engineers across electrical, software, and test disciplines to resolve integration issues
• Contribute to technical documentation, diagrams, and system models for complex interfaces

What We’re Looking For

Minimum / Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field

Preferred skills and experiences (apply even if you don’t have all):

• Experience or coursework related to the systems engineering life cycle
• Familiarity with networking, Linux environments, or virtual machine management
• Exposure to cyber hardening or secure system configuration practices
• General IT skills, lab troubleshooting, or systems integration experience
• Familiarity with test development, test execution, and reporting
• Experience with systems requirements and requirements management tools (DOORS), MBSE, Cameo/MagicDraw, or other system modeling tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate across disciplines
• Interest in applying MBSE/system modeling to clarify interfaces and system behavior
• Curiosity and willingness to take on increasing responsibility and technical complexity
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Clearance & Eligibility

• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Combined salary range: USD $77,843.00 - USD $86,358.00 per year (estimate; actual pay may vary based on experience and other factors)

Workplace & Schedule

This role is on-site to start in Allendale, MA, with potential for future site-flex arrangements depending on program needs. You will be part of the local engineering facility and expected to work on-site during onboarding and as required by program activities.
