What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer to support aeronautics systems engineering activities. You will work across the full systems lifecycle to convert requirements into reliable, testable, and supportable system solutions.
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification & validation (V&V), and supportability analyses across concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal phases.
- Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
- Support cost, risk, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, program, and manufacturing teams to ensure requirements are met within schedule and budget constraints.
- Contribute to system-level documentation, design reviews, and verification test activities.
Who You Are (Minimum Qualifications)
This opening may be filled at one of two levels. Candidates must meet the qualifications for the level to which they are considered.
Associate Engineer Systems (T01)
- Completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
- Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Top Secret clearance (as required by program).
Engineer Systems (T02)
- Completing or has completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
- Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (as required by program).
Note: U.S. citizenship is required for positions requiring government security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (for campus/early career applicants).
- Prior internship, co-op, or relevant work experience in systems or electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and strong interpersonal communications skills.
- Experience or coursework in systems integration, V&V, requirements flow-down, or interface definition.
Compensation & Benefits
- Associate Engineer Systems (T01): $65,800.00 to $98,800.00 per year.
- Engineer Systems (T02): $79,300.00 to $118,900.00 per year.
The salary ranges above represent a guideline. Actual offers will consider role scope, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may have access to benefits such as health insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement/savings plans, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), and discretionary/annual bonus programs. Specific benefits vary by role and location.
Location & Other Requirements
- Location: Melbourne, FL.
- Travel: Approximately 10% (as needed for program support).
