Systems Engineer Associate-Entry Level

What You’ll Do
- Act as Scrum Master to facilitate Agile ceremonies, track team progress, and remove team impediments
- Perform system analysis and interface definition for assigned subsystem(s)
- Lead and coordinate technical product development and design reviews through the lifecycle
- Collaborate with subsystem design engineering teams to drive deliberate design evolution
- Lead trade studies to evaluate and recommend enhanced subsystem designs and capabilities
- Establish and maintain functional, allocated, and product baselines
- Author, maintain, and trace functional and performance requirements in a requirements management tool
- Support system integration, verification & validation, cost/risk analysis, and supportability assessments
- Apply AI prompting techniques to support engineering tasks and workflows where applicable
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field — or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Understanding of systems-engineering processes (functional analysis, requirements allocation, interface definition)
- Experience with Agile development processes, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting Agile teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies
- Experience with systems engineering in aerospace, satellite communications (SATCOM), or ground segment systems
- Demonstrated ability to author and trace requirements using a requirements management tool
- Experience running trade studies and leading technical design reviews
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed, able to work independently and leverage engineering best practices
- Proficiency in AI prompting as applied to engineering tasks and documentation
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time salary range (provided by client): $58,200 — $108,200 per year (estimated midpoint shown elsewhere: $92,159)

Location & Clearance
- Location (authoritative): Colorado Springs, CO, US
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Onsite or sensitive-location work may be required per client need.
