About the role

Confidential Client is hiring a Sustainability Analyst to advance sustainability initiatives across its data center development and operations. This role coordinates execution of sustainability commitments at project level, collects and validates project data, tracks progress against targets, supports stakeholder benchmarking and industry research, and works cross-functionally with procurement, construction, and design teams.

This is an entry-level, full-time position based in Commerce City, CO (on-site).

What You’ll Do

• Oversee execution of Confidential Client’s sustainability commitments across procurement, construction, and design (e.g., embodied carbon targets, construction waste diversion, sustainable landscaping, third‑party certifications, and low‑GWP refrigerant usage).
• Coordinate with external partners (general contractors, design firms, equipment vendors) to deliver sustainability objectives.
• Partner with internal teams — Procurement, Construction, Design & Engineering — to integrate sustainability into contracts, design documents, and construction processes.
• Collect, organize, and quality‑control project‑level sustainability data for internal tracking and external reporting.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems and dashboards to monitor portfolio‑level progress on sustainability commitments.
• Perform benchmarking and stakeholder research to inform priorities and continuous improvement.
• Research sustainability frameworks, certifications, and best practices relevant to data center and real‑estate projects.

Qualifications

• Entry‑level: 1–2 years of relevant experience (including coursework, internships, or volunteer work). Early‑career candidates who demonstrate relevant skills, aptitude, and passion for sustainability are encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor’s degree (environmental studies, policy, science, sustainability preferred; other degrees considered).
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and drive results.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Passion for sustainability and a proactive mindset for sharing ideas and driving innovation.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of sustainable operations, green building practices, and third‑party certification programs.
• Prior experience or coursework in construction or real estate. (Prior data center experience is not required.)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, plus performance bonus program.
• 401(k) fully vested upon enrollment, with up to a 4% employer match.
• Employer‑paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability for employees.
• Paid time off and sick leave.
