Overview
This field-based role supports surgical imaging (OEC) systems in the Lubbock, TX area for a confidential client. You will deliver on-site service, installations, preventative maintenance and repairs while providing world-class customer service. A company vehicle will be provided and local travel across the Lubbock area is required.
Responsibilities
- Learn and perform accurate installations, preventative maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs on surgical imaging equipment.
- Assist and learn from experienced field engineers on troubleshooting and repairs; develop the ability to resolve calls independently.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, teammates and region/national support to ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
- Maintain service logs, internal records, order repair parts, and manage cycle times and administrative tasks.
- Use escalation processes and partner with regional support to implement corrective action plans.
- Participate in account teams for key customers; identify potential sales leads and support contract renewals or revenue programs.
- Keep current on competitor information and market trends.
- Aim to answer service calls independently within one year of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in a formal biomed/field-engineer internship, apprenticeship or externship; OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years servicing electronic equipment.
- Experience using web applications and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain it.
- Willingness to be available after hours or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, when necessary.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing surgical imaging modalities (OEC or similar).
- Strong customer-service orientation and teamwork skills.
- Good administrative discipline: timely record-keeping and parts management.
Special Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
- Frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods.
- Reach above/below shoulder level and maintain good hand/finger dexterity.
- Vision requirements may include color, close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay: $86,887 per year (estimated).
- Company vehicle provided for field coverage in the Lubbock area.
