The Opportunity

Confidential client is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist to support procurement for construction and engineering projects. This entry-level role focuses on purchasing materials, negotiating and administering supplier contracts, maintaining procurement records, and supporting on-time delivery of equipment and services at the right quality and cost. You will join a team that serves multiple markets (transportation, water/wastewater, power, oil & gas, building, mining) and may be assigned to area offices or project sites across the U.S.

What You’ll Do

• Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and representatives
• Purchase materials per specifications and drawings while controlling cost and quality
• Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
• Maintain and review computerized or manual records of purchases, costs, deliveries, inventories, and product performance
• Research and evaluate suppliers for price, quality, availability, reliability, production/distribution capabilities and reputation
• Monitor contract performance for compliance and identify needs for change or corrective action
• Support procurement execution, estimating, expediting, and offsite supplier quality as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 0–3 years of experience preferred; engineering or construction-related experience and basic procurement exposure a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• General database skills; SAP experience is a plus
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently to meet deadlines and objectives
• Demonstrated ethics, integrity, and a commitment to safety
• Ability and willingness to travel and relocate as needed

Location & Travel

This position is based in Roanoke, TX with possible initial assignments or relocations to other area offices or project sites across the U.S. Candidates must be open to relocation and travel based on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation: $66,560 - $79,040 per year (actual pay depends on experience, education, location, and other factors)
