District Overview
The confidential client's supply network group provides comprehensive procurement services to clients across construction and engineering markets — including transportation; industrial; water/wastewater; power; oil, gas and chemical; building; and mining. The group focuses on sourcing equipment, materials and services at the right price, ensuring quality and on-time delivery that meet client specifications.
Location & Mobility
This role will be based in an area office or at project sites across the U.S. Possible initial assignments include Lenexa, KS; Lone Tree, CO; Houston, TX; Westlake, TX; Woodcliff Lake, NJ; Peachtree, GA; Aiken, SC; Oak Ridge, TN; or Federal Way, WA. Candidates must be open to relocation and travel as assignments and projects require.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Purchase materials in correct quantities per specifications and drawings while optimizing cost and quality.
- Maintain and review computerized or manual records of purchases, costs, deliveries, performance and inventories.
- Research and evaluate suppliers for price, quality, reliability, capacity, and service.
- Monitor contract performance for compliance and recommend contract changes when needed.
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bids, and review requisitions for goods and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 0–3 years’ experience in engineering, construction, procurement, or related roles preferred (entry-level considered).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- General knowledge of database systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of procurement functions: execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality, and site purchasing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage time and priorities independently.
- Commitment to ethics, integrity, and safety.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Compensation: $66,560 - $79,040 (Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skillset, and location).
