Overview
Confidential Client (Engineering) is seeking an entry-level Supply Chain Analyst to support production planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory control, purchasing and vendor coordination for a technical product line. This role is based in West Palm Beach, FL and works closely with production teams to ensure sufficient materials are available per scheduled production requirements. This is an excellent position for candidates beginning a career in supply chain or manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Champion integrity of purchase order and item master data in ERP/MRP systems
- Maintain and control planning function for a technical product line
- Generate and report shipping forecasts and delinquency targets
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of data in the MRP system
- Set and maintain safety stock inventory levels to support production flow
- Adjust plans flexibly as demands and production schedules change (MRP-driven)
- Coordinate purchasing activities with production, quality and other departments
- Contact suppliers to resolve adjustments, incorrect material, or delivery issues
- Monitor and drive vendor on-time delivery performance
- Support pricing and cost-estimating negotiations with suppliers
- Identify and implement process improvements and electronic solutions to reduce paperwork and cycle time
- Interact professionally with all levels of personnel and external vendors
- Perform other duties as required to support production and supply chain objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Strong priority-setting and time-management ability in a fast-paced environment
- Aptitude for planning, negotiating and purchasing materials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and a high sense of urgency
