Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an early-career Supply Chain Analyst to support international procurement coordination and transportation management. This primarily onsite role (Batavia, OH) will work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, Sales, and external logistics partners to ensure timely, cost-effective movement of goods. The role is ideal for someone with 0–2 years of supply chain or logistics experience who wants to grow in international freight, global trade, and procurement.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate international procurement activities with global suppliers to support product availability and on-time delivery.
- Manage procurement and execution of inbound/outbound freight (ocean, air, truckload, LTL, intermodal).
- Support freight rate and carrier agreement negotiation and administration.
- Monitor supplier production schedules, shipment status, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate shipments from origin to final destination and resolve transportation or customs issues.
- Apply Incoterms to ensure correct ownership, risk transfer, and freight responsibilities.
- Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, air carriers, and other logistics partners to facilitate smooth international transport.
- Analyze freight costs, carrier performance, and supplier metrics to identify cost savings and improvements.
- Assist with forecasting transportation needs and capacity planning.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, shipment, and logistics records in ERP/transportation systems.
- Prepare procurement, freight spending, supplier performance, and inventory movement reports.
- Collaborate on process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, international trade regulations, and import/export requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, International Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 0–2 years experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, transportation, or procurement.
- Internship or entry-level international logistics/freight experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of international procurement, ocean and air freight, customs processes, and freight forwarding.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; ERP or supply chain system experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a global supply chain environment.

Compensation
- Estimated base pay: $50,278 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors. Base pay does not include benefits described above.

- Location: Primarily onsite — Batavia, OH (postal code 45103). Some coordination with global suppliers and logistics partners may require occasional offsite meetings or limited travel.
Physical Demands
This role requires close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screens, and extensive reading. Must be able to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels. Lifting/moving up to ~20 pounds occasionally and up to ~10 pounds frequently may be required. Ability to remain stationary/stand for prolonged periods and perform occasional bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and stair traversal.
