What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer to support manufacturing and supplier quality for hardware systems. You will work closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams (manufacturing, test, design, and supply chain) to ensure components and assemblies meet product quality and reliability goals.
- Coordinate supplier quality activities and supplier performance reviews to support production ramp and ongoing manufacturing.
- Support incoming inspection, supplier corrective actions (SCAR), and change control processes.
- Partner with manufacturing and test teams to troubleshoot failures and support root cause analysis on hardware systems.
- Drive fault isolation and verification activities in lab and production environments.
- Use basic data analysis and office tools to document issues, track metrics, and report results to stakeholders.
- Support overtime and on-site work at Bay Area manufacturing facilities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from a U.S. university. Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong learning agility and clear written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work on-site in Bay Area facilities and to work overtime when required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborating across functions.
- Mandarin Chinese preferred; Vietnamese a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or experience with compute systems, servers, consumer electronics, or hardware manufacturing in a contract manufacturer environment.
- Experience or interest in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and fault isolation within hardware systems.
- Familiarity with common office productivity and basic data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).
Location & Schedule
- Hybrid role based in Santa Clara, CA. Frequent on-site support at Bay Area manufacturing facilities is expected.
- Full-time employment.
Compensation
- Estimated base: $77,249 per year (estimated).
