What You’ll Do

This early-career Supplier Quality Engineer will support supplier quality initiatives that help the business meet operational and strategic supplier quality goals. You will work with internal and external partners to improve supplier manufacturing processes, support product launches, and help resolve supplier-related quality issues.

• Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and execute quality plans for external suppliers
• Participate in supplier audits and, after training/certification, lead low-complexity audits
• Support root-cause analysis, corrective action development, and verification of effectiveness
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methods
• Apply automotive/manufacturing tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, PPAP) to validate processes
• Help design measurement systems using GD&T and measurement best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive supplier performance
• Perform and support supplier process and product validations (PPAP, source release)
• Participate in and support the resolution of supplier product and process quality issues
• Execute supplier quality improvement plans and monitor supplier performance metrics
• Apply statistical methods to analyze process performance and recommend data-driven improvements

Who We’re Looking For

• Recent U.S. graduates (within 2 years) with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Mechanical Engineering preferred; Industrial Engineering considered
• Demonstrated problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
• Comfortable applying GD&T, basic statistical methods (SPC, MSA), and automotive quality tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Eligible U.S. candidates (for international students: CPT/OPT authorization required prior to start)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical/scientific subject required
• Experience: Minimal relevant work experience required (Entry Level / Early Careers role)
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Start Date: Fall 2026 / Jan 2027
• Location: Missouri (position supports suppliers for Engine Business; travel to supplier sites may be required)
• Estimated pay (as listed in source): $87,617 per year (estimated)
• May require export-control or sanctions-related licensing for compliance
