Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer I to join their supplier quality team in Clearwater, FL. This early-career, full-time role supports supplier quality improvement initiatives, supplier audits, and corrective action work to ensure components meet program and regulatory quality standards. Estimated pay: $91,177 per year (estimated).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist supplier quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and ensure supplier compliance with established quality requirements.
• Work cross-functionally to review and disposition supplier part discrepancies and nonconformances.
• Support supplier audits and capability assessments; document findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and verification of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Track supplier quality metrics and help maintain quality management system records.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and procurement to resolve supplier-related issues and implement process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or other technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• 1–3 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or an engineering role with supplier interaction.
• Basic knowledge of quality engineering practices, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
• Experience with supplier audits and familiarity with quality management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred).
• Internship/co‑op experience in supplier or manufacturing quality.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Experience with APQP, SPC, and statistical problem-solving tools.
• Continuous improvement mindset and demonstrated willingness to learn.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated base pay: $91,177 per year (estimated).
