Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Family Office Associate for Summer 2027 to join its assurance and advisory team in New York, NY. This is a client-facing audit and assurance role designed for early-career accounting professionals who want hands-on exposure to privately held and publicly traded clients across industries. The role emphasizes technical accounting, financial statement testing, internal control evaluation, and professional development through coaching and firm-wide learning programs.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Serve as a member of engagement teams delivering audit and assurance services for family offices and other clients
• Conduct substantive testing on balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Test and evaluate internal controls; document findings and discuss recommended improvements
• Proactively gather client information and respond to questions throughout the engagement lifecycle
• Participate in on-the-job coaching and formal training to develop technical accounting and client service skills
• Build professional relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Who You Are (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related business field with sufficient coursework/credits to sit for the CPA exam in the state of consideration
• Strong academic performance (preferred GPA 3.0+)
• Relevant internship or work experience and/or involvement in professional organizations
• Demonstrated time management, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in teams with client personnel at various levels
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Must hold a current offer with Confidential Client (formerly Anchin conversions) to be considered for this specific intake

Compensation & Additional Information

• Employment type: Full-time, Permanent
• In New York, NY the pay range for this role is $80,600 to $105,800 per year. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, and other factors.
