Studio Manager
The Studio Manager leads all aspects of studio performance at Confidential Client, including sales, team leadership, operations, and member experience to drive revenue growth and profitability. This role is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and managing staff while ensuring operational excellence and a high-quality, consistent member experience. The manager collaborates closely with fitness and sales teams to foster a cohesive, high-performing environment aligned with company standards.

What You’ll Do
The Studio Manager leads day-to-day studio operations and is accountable for studio performance, team development, member experience, and revenue growth. You’ll work closely with coaching staff and regional leadership to deliver a consistent, best-in-class fitness experience while running an efficient, profitable studio.
- Lead, coach, and develop studio staff to meet sales, service, and operational standards.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high-quality team members; manage scheduling and workforce planning.
- Drive member acquisition and retention through local marketing, community outreach, referrals, and promotions.
- Own daily sales execution: lead goal-setting, pipeline management, promotions, and local campaigns.
- Monitor and report key metrics (daily/weekly/monthly), analyze performance, and implement action plans.
- Manage payroll, labor utilization, controllable expenses, and profitability targets.
- Ensure exceptional member service: promptly resolve escalations, monitor feedback, and lead continuous improvement.
- Maintain studio presentation, merchandising, inventory, equipment tracking, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable workplace regulations.
- Partner with coaching leads to align fitness delivery with sales and member engagement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of retail, fitness, hospitality, or direct sales management experience with prior single-unit management experience required.
- Proven ability to coach and lead teams, hit sales targets, and manage day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen: comfortable with reporting, metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Customer-service oriented with strong problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional extended hours.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and perform light physical activity as needed.
- Passion for health, fitness, and building community.
Nice to Have
- Experience in boutique fitness, health club, gym, or franchise studio environments.
- Prior experience with member acquisition strategies, grassroots marketing, or community partnerships.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This is a full-time, in-studio role. Regular work is primarily in a studio setting and at a computer, with frequent on-foot movement throughout the facility. The role may be loud or fast-paced at times. During month-end closeout, flexibility to work a weekend day is required. Travel is minimal and typically limited to regional trainings or company needs.
Compensation
- Estimated pay: $53,327 per year (estimated). Actual compensation and benefits will be set by the Confidential Client and may vary by location and experience.
