The Studio Manager leads all aspects of studio operations, including sales, team leadership, member experience, and financial performance, to drive revenue growth and profitability. This role is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and developing staff while ensuring operational excellence and alignment between sales and fitness teams. The Studio Manager fosters a positive culture, manages daily studio functions, and delivers a consistent, high-quality member experience in a fast-paced fitness environment.

What You’ll Do
The Studio Manager leads day-to-day studio operations and drives member acquisition, retention, and overall studio performance. This is a hands-on leadership role combining sales, people management, and operational oversight to deliver a best-in-class member experience and sustainable financial results for the Confidential Client.
- Lead, coach, and develop studio team members to meet brand standards across member experience, sales execution, and operations.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain high-quality talent; manage scheduling and staffing to meet business needs.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, and conduct performance conversations and development planning.
- Drive membership growth through community outreach, referrals, partnerships, and local marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key business metrics (daily, weekly, monthly); use data to identify opportunities and implement improvement plans.
- Manage payroll, controllable expenses, and labor to support profitability goals.
- Oversee studio presentation, merchandising, inventory, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.
- Partner with fitness leadership (e.g., Head Coach) to align sales and fitness execution for a cohesive member experience.
- Ensure consistent execution of promotional campaigns, corporate initiatives, and community marketing efforts.
- Handle member escalations professionally and promptly to maintain high satisfaction and retention.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail, fitness, hospitality, or direct sales management with prior single-unit management experience required; boutique fitness or health club experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive sales performance, and manage operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, problem solving, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to work during month-end closeout when required.
- Passion for health, fitness, and delivering exceptional member experiences.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and spend prolonged periods on foot.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base salary: $53,598 per year (estimated).
- Full-time position.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role operates primarily in an active studio environment with regular computer work, member and team interactions, and movement throughout the facility. The environment may be fast-paced and occasionally loud. The position requires standing, walking, occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs), and normal vision/hearing abilities necessary to perform essential functions.
Supervisory Responsibility & Travel
- Directly supervises Sales Associates; responsible for hiring, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
- No regular travel anticipated; travel only as needed for training or company needs.
